Reconciliation and Harmony with Environment and Climate

We are committed to environmental sustainability and fostering a sense of collective responsibility for the planet, integrating environmental care into our programs.
Jesuit Refugee Service believes in the importance of caring for our shared environment and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the planet. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we support initiatives aimed at protecting and preserving natural resources. One such effort involves assisting in the construction process to protect classrooms, ensuring that these vital spaces are safe and resilient in the face of environmental challenges. Additionally, we engage in mangrove planting projects, which play a critical role in preventing coastal erosion, promoting biodiversity, and mitigating the effects of climate change. Through these initiatives, we aim to not only protect our physical environment but also instill a sense of environmental stewardship in the communities we serve.
