Advocacy

Jesuit Refugee Service Thailand is committed to advocating for the rights and well-being of refugees and asylum seekers. Through a combination of partnerships, policy engagement, and public awareness efforts, JRS works to ensure that refugees are supported and their voices are heard.

Jesuit Refugee Service engages in advocacy by collaborating with partners in Bangkok to establish a referral system that ensures refugees and asylum seekers receive the support and services they need. Additionally, JRS actively participates in the National Screening Mechanism Review, contributing to discussions and efforts aimed at improving policies and practices related to refugee screening and protection. One of their key advocacy efforts includes organizing World Refugee Day events, which serve to raise awareness about the challenges faced by refugees and to promote solidarity with displaced communities around the world. Through these initiatives, JRS Thailand works to amplify the voices of refugees and influence positive change in policies and public perceptions.
