Advocacy

JRS coordinates information sessions, strengthens capacity through advocacy training, and raises public awareness to foster a deeper understanding of refugee needs and rights. By engaging with local stakeholders, universities, and associations, we strive to create lasting impact and ensure that refugees are treated with dignity and respect.

Jesuit Refugee Service is dedicated to upholding the principle of non-refoulement, fostering a culture of hospitality and care. We coordinate sessions and community information meetings for refugees, ensuring that refugees are informed and supported. Additionally, we strengthen capacity at the reception stage through networking, offering online workshops on fair policies and practices. We provide training on advocacy, case referral, and resource engagement with both individual and organizational stakeholders. Furthermore, we raise public awareness through various activities, reaching individuals, universities, and associations to increase understanding and support for refugee rights and needs.
